Warm, supportive individual therapy for woman and queer people, online in Virginia and Florida.

Are you feeling stressed and pulled in every direction? Trying to keep it all together, however, often feels like you're slowly unraveling on the inside? Therapy can help.

Through therapy, you can learn to treat yourself with more kindness and compassion, create boundaries that help you to reconnect with people in your life in a way that actually feels good and work towards breaking the cycle of overwhelm.

Hi, I’m Brittany Deutch, a licensed therapist who supports women and LGBTQ+ folks, specializing in times of transition, stress and anxiety.

I am passionate about walking alongside people who are learning to trust themselves, live out loud and take up space in the world. Those who are tired of the constant underlying feeling of not being enough no matter how much you do, accomplish or give to others. It never feels like enough.

I am passionate about creating a space where we can quiet the mind chatter and create time and space for you to show up for yourself, instead of constantly for everyone else. A space where you learn to explore the inner parts of yourself and find a way to love, honor and trust it. A space where we can all love and support each other on this journey towards knowing- I am enough.

Do any of these feel like you?

“I worry that if I begin taking time for myself, I will be letting someone down or be seen as selfish.'“

“My wants and desires are often pushed to the side because I don’t have the emotional or physical energy to add another thing to my plate.”

“I feel like I have lost myself and am not being the partner, parent or friend I want to be.”

“I constantly stress about things from my past or things that haven’t happened yet.”

“I worry about doing everything I think I ‘should’ be doing, and struggle to think about what it is I actually want in order to live in a way that feels good to me.”

My approach and style

I pride myself on making therapy an approachable and deeply human experience. I believe in the power of authenticity and showing up as my true self, with the hope that it gives you the same permission.

I don't see you as a mere diagnosis, and I won't bombard you with psychobabble. Instead, I view therapy as a shared journey between two individuals navigating the complexities of the world we live in.

I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own experiences, but am here to be that trusted guide, helping you reconnect with your authentic self. Together, we'll explore why you're here, identify what's working in your life, and openly discuss what isn't. We'll collaboratively find ways to make meaningful changes.

In our sessions, you can expect a range of emotions – we'll laugh, we'll cry, we might even yell a little (or a lot), and we'll certainly celebrate your victories, big and small.

I believe in you, wholeheartedly, until you learn to believe in yourself – and even then, I'll continue to believe in your potential for growth.

My approach includes gentle challenges, not in a judgmental way, but to expand your perspective. I'll open the door to the possibility of different thoughts and behaviors, encouraging you to explore new pathways when life often feels like it has only one route.

At Creative Source Counseling, I’m more than just a therapist; I’m your companion on your journey of self-discovery and growth. Together, we'll walk this path, explore new horizons, and empower you to embrace the life you deserve.

Who I work with

When people come to me for therapy they are often stuck in a place between knowing that something is no longer working for them, while still being unsure of what it is they actually DO want for their life. Being asked that question, “what would you want life to look like,” is scary.

Even though we know what we've been doing isn't working anymore, it's all we've ever known. It's what we've had to do to keep pushing forward. It's comfortable because at least we know what to expect.

Together we get to give ourselves permission to get a little uncomfortable.

We don't have to know what the future looks like or have all the answers yet, but together we get to take the first step towards finding out.

Specialties

  • Anxiety

Anxiety often shows up as this constant buzzing that wont go away. It’s the tightness in your chest or the racing thoughts that take you out of the present moment and into the fear of the unknown.

  • Life Transition/Self-Discovery

Navigating this journey called life, with all its twists and turns. Maybe this isn’t how you imagined life to be. Maybe you have a desire to start a new path or maybe you have a yearning to finally meet yourself for the first time.

  • Trauma

Healing from trauma is like piecing together a shattered mirror, reflecting not just the scars but the strength that's emerged from the journey. Together, we can create a space to look at those pieces, find a clarity on how they continue to impact us, and rediscover the beauty that's always been within.
